Teachers, have you heard about our educator access?
There’s something like a 99.998% chance the idea that just popped into your head won’t create really big value. This can be helped and it isn’t magic.
It takes some 3000 raw ideas to yield just one success and only 6% of successes turn out to have high impact, which means that there’s something like a 99.998% chance the idea that just popped into your head won’t create really big value. And yet, so many individuals and organizations put everything they have behind their rawest hunches only to realize later they’ve spent huge amounts of time and money on a pretty average idea. This can be helped and it isn’t magic. With the right environment and the right tools, even the most novice of innovators can come up with a really big idea and evolve it from hunch to concept to impactful opportunity before committing resources to it unnecessarily.
Design the kind of opportunities that can’t help but make significant change in the world around us because they are at the same time highly impactful, highly feasible and highly passion-nourishing.
The idea modeling approach provides practical tools and a powerful lens through which you’ll begin to look differently at everything you do. From engineers to artists; from leaders driven by profit to agents of social change; and from the rickety boardroom tables of start-ups to the whiteboards of large companies – you’ll see how a deliberate and back-to-basics approach to idea generation and opportunity design can help you or your organization get out of the idea rut and beat the odds.
These tools and canvases are designed to help you design the kind of opportunities that can’t help but make significant change in the world around us because they are at the same time highly impactful, highly feasible and highly inspiring. The toolkit includes visual and analytical tools for idea modeling, empathic design (listening, seeing and creating through the eyes of others), critique and assessment, and the art of storytelling for feedback and persuasion. We invite you to take away the DIY tools for doing it yourself, either on your own whiteboards or on the back of the next napkin you run into. Watch the introductory video if you haven’t already. Stay tune for the upcoming releases. And have fun!
